The only reaction I got to this publicity was a very negative one from the Manhattan Tea Party. They told me that I was messing up the movement by deviating from the core message of fiscal conservativism. It is hard to isolate a single issue from a global philosophy.
And, the edges of fiscal conservativism (such as do we save by pulling back the military or social spending) lead us to leave the topic of fiscal conservativism. Do we best save America by only looking at one issue? Does diluting the message detract from growth? Etc.
