Nice job! That was a good interview.

By the way, what happened to the last video you posted?

Unknown said...

I took it down as it was getting very few views and the possibility of it getting me fired or kicked out of my program was causing me stress. It is still available on youtube.

To be honest, Damien, I put much too much time into culturism. I do so because I think it important. That video was, as it showed some things to be Western and some things not, particularly important.

But often times I am discouraged. And when I think I am working hard and getting nowhere and risking my career in academia with little impact, I wonder why I am to be the martyr. And so, I - perhaps with cowardice - took it down from my book's blog site.

Does that make me a bad person? Well, I do more than anyone else I know personally. I go to rallies, write, make videos and push my agenda. And these are dire times and I thought about what I'd want folks to do if they were in Hitler's Germany. But, it was getting very few hits and right now I cannot deal with the stress of getting kicked out of my program or losing my job because of activism.

That is the whole truth, Culturist John

PS Thanks for noticing.

Hey Culturism readers. Here is a post I came across that I think you might find interesting as it fits into the Culturism idea:

John, I think you are ahead of your time. Your ideas will be vindicated but it won't happen tomorrow. There is a degree of ignorance amongst the general public regarding Islam that is appalling. A sample reading of comments on BEAJ's blog (http://baconeatingatheistjew.blogspot.com/2009/01/if-canada-voted-in-party-that-had-goal.html) is an indication of this ignorance. It seems that opinions that are formulated in a vacuum are dictated by misguided emotions and compassion. The struggle to educate people regarding the core beliefs of Islam is the first major hurdle. Culturism will only take off when people have a better understanding of Islam.

Damien said...

Lexcen,

I hate to admit it but you may have a point. Truth be told getting people to have a better understanding of Islam maybe easier said than done, since people who openly criticize Islam are demonized by a large segment of our society.

Empedocles,

I left a response at that thoughtful blog you gave us a link to. Thanks!!!

Today there is an article discussing the legacy of Samuel Huntington over at that blog:

Samuel Huntington should have a much larger legacy. His books are truth.

The geo-political and demographic trends he noted have - despite peoples' ignorance - come to pass.

For details check out my blog on Huntington from a few weeks ago.

Thanks Empedocles!!

Good job on that interview.
Keep up the fight - we have to defend our own culture, or we will have nothing TO defend.
Those who want to join us are welcome.
Those who want us to change to suit them better be ready for a long haul.

I'm lucky - with my career, it's not a job requirement to be liked...or even likable....LOL

I think this is SO important I had to link to you.

Ya, I wish I were Michelle Malkin now, too, TRUST ME (smile!)

The word "culture" was bastardized into "cultures" in the U.S.

There's a clear distinction that is lost on the Libs. I hope it can be found again.

Thanks for helping it along its way.

Great interview, Culturist John! Thank you for clearing up a few things for me.

Going through high school and university with the brainwashing of multiculturalism, it's refreshing to hear this kind of talk. I am behind you all the way. But are we truly a sovereign nation, sill? Oh, I hope so. I will teach my children about sovereignty, American culture, liberty, and freedom. I'll do this because I know that they won't get it in public school.

I'm here via Z from Geeeez.

CJ,
I am a public school teacher and I can attest to the multiculturism that is pervasive.

While I want to recognize the aspects of multiculturism that are good, our immigrant forefathers maintained their culture from their homeland, but they were able to assimilate.

I think the missing piece is the lack of assimiliation and the recognition of an American culture. The leftists refuse to acknowledge this, but it does exist.

Beginning with the progressive era, America had a tough time identifying its own culture. The Harlem Renaissance, Glenn Miller, Rock-n-Roll, etc. are all American movements. The left is trying with all its might to kill any thoughts of an American culture, with a lot of success.

Globalism is the byproduct of a lack of assimilation to America. I enjoyed your interview. I'll look for your book.

Law and Order Teacher,

Agree, the left seems to hate American culture in general on the rare occasions when they even admit it exists. Yet if it weren't for a culture like ours, many of the things they accomplished, would have been impossible.

Pinky, Touchstone, Law and Order Teacher,

Thanks for coming by the blog!!!

Pinky, YES we are still a sovereign nation and have a right to guard our borders. But our sovereignty IS under attack by the globalist idea that we are the world and its evil twin multiculturalism that also denies some things are American and some aren't.

Law and Order Teacher (and Pinky),

Isn't it nutty that we only get a multiculturalist philosophy in public schools? It is common sense in all cultures that school's job is to prepare youth to assume their place in the society they live in. We teach people to love other countries!!! What??? Our schools have traditionally been culturist too. In the ed classes I teach we at least look at both sides. I wish that would spread.

I think Americans correctly saw swing and rock as American. That would have been the case for the Harlem Renaissance to were it not for the immigrant Marcus Garvey. At any rate, all of this creative art that seeks to make a new statement in English is very American.

Again, don't assume that which is obvious to us is global. Look at traditional Chinese music and art. So different. Muslims don't allow representation of humans. So different. The West has a progressing culture. That makes it hard to nail down. But that also makes it western.

Damien, I totally agree. It is the saddest multiculturalist irony that the diverse cultures leftists defend would persecute them were they victorious. If you want to defend gay rights, women's rights or rights at all, you must side with the West; you must be a western culturist.

Thanks Z!!!

Thanks all!!! Don't be strangers,

That is so true. Also, the one that would persecute them the worst is also ironically the one that it is most politically incorrect to criticize. If Islam defeats the west, and takes over, homosexuals will be stoned to death, women will be turned into slaves with no rights at all, all other religions will be outlawed, and liberals or anyone else who dares to complain will lose their lives and all that will happen here, where such things were once unthinkable.

By the way, did you get my last email? I've been waiting for a reply

Hi Everybody!

I have been trying to figure out a place to begin the acai free trial and was just wondering if anybody had any opinions on whether or not it works to lose weight? So far here's the 1 article I've been able to read that seemed real for what my goals are. Opinions?

I've used that stuff at Sues Diary myself. I tried the colon cleanse and had great results.
